I had my birthday lunch at ChopnBlok in Houston’s Montrose district, and was thoroughly impressed with the food, ambiance, and incredible staff who helped ensure that my experience there for my birthday was a great one.

I had the deviled scotch egg to start. It was great. For my main dish, I had the Buka with jollof rice. It’s jollof rice and beans, with a boneless short rib in native West African stew, and sweet plantains. It was incredible, very flavorful, and came in a large serving size. For my drink, I had their Oga Palmer, and was pleased. Their House Plantain Bread with vanilla crème anglaise for dessert was great as well. With how impressed I was by their food, service, and ambiance, I know for a fact I’ll be back to ChopnBlok many more times in the future. I left feeling stuffed.

I highly recommend you trying ChopnBlok out.
