Queen and Millard Heath

My maternal grandparents, Millard and Queen Heath were born in 1922 and 1923 in north Louisiana. Together, they had eleven children, including my mother, Vickie Heath, who was the seventh.

They were both entrepreneurs and BBQ restaurant owners, my grandfather was an attorney, my grandmother was the matriarch of our family and even being a caretaker for dozens of children over the years. They were travelers, especially my grandmother who has been to various European countries, in addition to them both traveling domestically. Both emphasized education, were family oriented, charismatic, and so much more.

I am proud to come from an incredible lineage and will do all I can in life to continue on the legacy that they created during their lifetime.

My grandmother used to love telling stories about how she met my grandfather around WWII, and about all the different moments they had over the years, especially about their time in Seattle, Washington after getting married. They were best friends and inseparable. Even after his passing in the late 80s, she still cared and loved him deeply up until her passing 2016.
